Through Herbivore Health we have combined our love of fitness with our vegan beliefs!

 

We know how difficult it can be as vegans in the mainstream exercise environment where there is a HUGE emphasis on animal protein to support exercise. As fully vegan PTs, we offer advice and support in a way that will compliment your beliefs and lifestyle - a whole food vegan diet really IS the healthiest you can do!

We've listed below some of the common features we offer in our packages and why you might want them!

Initial consultations

We offer on most of our packages skype/zoom consultations. This allows us to get to know you, delve deeper into what your current habits are - and quite crucially - what drives you.

If you reeeallly don't think you can face a gym and don't even want to speak to us on a video call (don't blame you to be honest) - we can totally still help you thrive and create a great health plan for you, we will just communicate via text and questionnaires. We don't want you to miss out because of social anxiety! If you gain confidence in communicating with us, we can always do a call later on if you like!

We've got an app!

The app allows you to have two way communication with us (just like text messages/whatsapp), which also gives us an overview of your workouts to keep you accountable. Some of you will be thinking - "one of my problems I have is not getting a kick up the bum when I don't do a workout".

Well with our app, you get calendar notifications - and importantly, we get notified if you skip a workout! That's one of the great things about hiring an online PT - we can keep you accountable when you struggle to keep yourself accountable. Trust me, it's amazing how much difference it makes to have someone knowing when you workout (or don't!).

Nutrition Advice

Depending on the package you choose, we can offer you nutritional advice. Between us, we've got more than 10 years experience of being vegan, and have learnt what works and what doesn't through trial an error. Just to make sure that we had some credentials behind us though, we've completed certifications in nutrition, as well as specifically vegan and vegetarian nutrition (we love to learn - so are constantly reading the latest science on nutrition to ensure we're up to date - yes, nerdy, I know!).

You've probably found - if you are new to veganism, or just new to trying to be fit and healthy - there's SO much information out there, so it's pretty difficult to know what to believe. We can give you advice based on the latest science and the stuff that's worked for us and our clients (tried and tested!).​

Workout Sessions

We are obsessed with exercise, and would love to get you to love working out too (if you don't already!). Between us, we've got almost 10 years of experience training in the gym, so we've learnt what really makes you want to get up and go!

With our introductory package, we've spent time and (very literally) energy on them. We've trialled all of workout packages with ourselves and our clients to make sure they are generally good for everyone! These are ideal if you are wanting a cheaper way to stay accountable and have your workouts created for you! You'll still get all the benefits of the app notifications as well to keep you on track! We assign you a set of workouts based on your main goal (i.e lose fat, gain muscle, build strength) and whether you have access to a gym (body-weight workouts vs cardio machines vs weights).

Of course, everyone is different, which is why our other packages offer tailored workouts for you. This is ideal for those of you who want a more hands on approach. We can design a workout based entirely on your goals, needs, equipment, injuries, abilities and at the end of the day - preferences. You're more likely to stick to a workout you actually enjoy!
